Kendall CE Primary School is pleased to be able to offer a range of LOtC CPD as a center of excellence for outdoor learning.

Level 3 Award in Learning Beyond the Classroom

Learn how to make the most of your outdoor learning with this 2-day course.

This qualification is perfect for teachers who want to explore the impact of outdoor learning on pupil outcomes and wellbeing. Our accredited Level 3 Learning Beyond the Classroom qualification is delivered by experienced tutors and runs over two full days. A combination of theoretical and practical activities to help you plan and deliver lessons beyond the classroom, as well as guidance for self-study ending in the submission of a portfolio.

Study Visits for School Leaders

Are you leading on learning beyond the classroom at your school? Perhaps you would like to visit Kendall on a study visit? We will share with you how we embarked on our journey to becoming a centre of excellence for outdoor learning. You can book your study visit by calling the school to register your interest and we will endeavour to find a day and time to best suit you. 

Accredited Forest School Leader Training

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Forest School trainer Laura Harvey to bring regular Forest School and Coastal School accredited courses in Essex. Laura has twenty-eight years experience and delivers training under the umbrella of Cambium Sustainable, ensuring top quality courses through support, standardisation and training for Forest School trainers across the UK.

Kendall Primary School provide the site for Forest School Leader training within an onsite extensive mature woodland with three Forest School sites and ongoing Forest School and outdoor learning provision for pupils.
