Schools In Bloom

A few weeks ago, we had the Colchester ‘Schools in Bloom’ judges visit Kendall to look at the work we have been doing in science and Gardening Club around the site. They were particularly impressed with the new greenhouse and on Tuesday, Gardening Club along with Ms Thomas, attended the awards ceremony at Colchester Town Hall and were presented with ‘Best Community Garden 2023’ and ‘Highly Commended’ Certificates.  We also received a basket of goodies to keep us growing, including a selection of bulbs, a lavender plant, flower pots and wild flower seed, the latter of which will be perfect for the meadow we have planned to sow in Gardening Club in the autumn.
