Year 3 Stone Age Day

On Thursday Year 3 took part in a Stone Age Day in our very own woodland. Memma the Stone Age woman set up camp in our woodland and transported the children back to 800,000 BC. The children plucked a partridge, skinned a rabbit, cooked it on the fire and ate it under Memma's Stone Age shelter. They then took part in different Stone Age jobs, such as cutting bones for spoons, carving stone into lamps and shaping wood into bows. They thoroughly enjoyed their day and are now ready to survive by themselves in the woodland!
