Monday was our Going Global round-robin Multicultural Day, which was a fantastic celebration of culture, creativity and collaboration. Children worked in mixed-age groups from Foundation Stage to Year 6, travelling to different ‘countries’ around the ‘world’ to experience a range of crafts, cooking and cultural activities. From weaving in Peru with Mr Barrett-Rodger and sketching the Northern Lights in Finland with Miss Johnson, to learning about the Kiwi and Haka dance in New Zealand with Miss Chisnell and cooking leeks in Wales with Mrs Reeves-Rowe, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The children produced some wonderful work and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work with new friends while learning about cultures from around the world.
