Public Speaking Competition

On Tuesday, Jana, Eli and Stanley from Year 6 represented Kendall at the annual Colchester Youth Speaking Competition in the Town Hall. 10 schools from around Colchester took part and it was fantastic to see our three pupils speaking with such confidence and pride. Jana (our main speaker) presented a brilliant speech on the pros and cons of social media for young people. While the judges were deliberating, the children were able to visit the mayor’s parlour and have their picture taken on the balcony above the High Street with the Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress. Together the team delivered an excellent speech and should be very proud of their participation.
